Hello, welcome to Getting Up:WINDOWS ON THE CITY.

Today, Mon 1st feb, is the last day of the project!  However art collective Yuck 'n' Yum will be distributing their 'Inverzine' contemporary art fanzine on the streets of the city centre from 1.30 pm - grab one while you can!

'Getting Up' was launched on Saturday 19th December with live music, video projections and free soup at  Rose Street Carpark.

One of the highlights of Rough Cut Nation at the National Portrait Gallery in the summer, the last ever Tryptich and The Fence Collectives' Homegame festival in Anstruther.  Intense, bittersweet and eccentric - catch this special solo set from one of Scotland's best live acts.

 

We also had Inverness based indie rock from 28 Jacks. Fresh from supporting all these folk The View, The Ray Summers, Jersey Budd, The Rifles, The Tiny Dancers, The Jyrojets, Stereoglo, Slow Club, C/O/R/D, Tom Hingley (ex Inspiral Carpets) The Law, Glasvegas, Exist, Hi-Jack Oscar, The Courteeners, The Wallbirds, 1990s and The John Powers band (ex Cast/ The Las) and building up a stoking reputation for catchy indie rock music.

 

And last but not least - freeform swamp rock from The Mississippi Hoodoo Man - travelling death metal busker.

 

The event also featured screenings of films submitted to Yuck N Yum's 'Turn Your Blu Tooth On' project and a live VJ set from Inflatable Monster.
